After a long illness from Bright’s disease, William M. Rittenburg, a Civil War veteran who has resided in Allendale for the past 60 years, died Monday at his home in that village.

He is survived by four sons, John and James Rittenburg in Grand Rapids, Charles Ritttenburg of Allendale and Walter Rittenburg of Detroit and two daughters of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 1 o’clock at Allendale Congregational Church.

(William Rittenburg served in 1 MI Light Artillery, Battery L. He is buried in Allendale Cemetery.)
