New Holland--Arend Brouwer, age 69, an old resident, died Saturday morning after a brief illness. Mr. Brouwer was well known. He belonged to the 25^th Michigan Infantry, Co. 1, and was a favorite among the old soldiers. He is survived by a widow.

(Mr. Brouwer is buried in the North Holland Cemetery.)
