OBITUARY: William A. GUST
William A. Gust, 58, of 14211 Taft Road, R.R. 2, Spring Lake, formerly of Muskegon, died unexpectedly Tuesday of a heart attack suffered at the Shaw Box Crane Company of Muskegon Heights. He was taken to Grand Haven Hospital.
Mr. Gust, who moved to Spring Lake from Ferrysburg two years ago, was in the maintenance department at Shaw Box for 12 years. He was born in Muskegon, August 3, 1905, and married Miss Lucille Bush in South Bend [Indiana] August 28, 1929.
He played bass horn in the Lt. Wilbur L. Boyer VFW post band at Muskegon Heights.
Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Howard Botbyl and Mrs. Barbara Royce, Muskegon; Mrs. Ed Braughton, Largo, Fla., Mrs. Donald Selee, Sunnymead, Calif., and Mrs. Diane Vander Wall, at home; a son, Donald, at home, and 18 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at the Kammeraad chapel, Grand Haven, at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery.

Wm. Gust Dies Suddenly
William A. (Albert) Gust, 14211 Taft Rd., Spring Lake, died Tuesday after suffering an attack at work. He was rushed to Municipal Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival there. He was 58.
Born Aug. 3, 1905 in Muskegon, he was married Aug. 28, 1929 to the former Miss Lucille Bush in South Bend, Ind.
The family moved to their present home two years ago from Ferrysburg. Gust was employed for the past 12 years in the maintenance department of Shaw-Box Crane, Muskegon Heights.
He played a bass horn in the band of the Lt. Wilbur L. Boyer Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Muskegon Heights.
In addition to his wife , Lucille, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Howard (Phyllis) Botbyl of Muskegon; Mrs. Barbara Royce of Muskegon, Mrs. Edward Broughton of Largo, Fla.; Mrs. Donald (Helen) Selee of Sunny Mead, Calif., and Mrs. Richard Vander Wall at home; a son, Donald, at home and 18 grandchildren.
The body is at the Kammeraad Funeral Home.
